My Dearest,

 

 

I have always known there has been something greater than ourselves since

I was a very young child. I felt it. Up until I met my ex husband I had a very

limited perception of what or who God was. After meeting my ex husband my growth

took wings over the next 12 years. I read about Buddhism, then turned to Native

American, Paganism and it expanded from there to mulitiple religions. I was like

a butterfly, flying from one flower to the next, never fully enjoying the sweet

nectar until I finally had to make a choice. I came to the conclusion that

Hinduism was the religion that inspired me most. It sang to me. I wanted to sing

with it. I jumped into my burning desire with pure abandonment. I had been a

devotee of Amma's for three years prior to making this decision. Originally I

prayed for a female guru to come because my ex husband had a male guru and he

didn't fit with my heart. Amma came shortly after. When I made the conscious

decision to only follow Hinduism and become

disciplined, Amma worked miracles. Suddenly I was doing the impossible. The

unthinkable. I was walking into a room where Amma's Divine Self was Gloriously

placed. It was a dream among dreams. To me she was the unreachable. I never

dared dream I would meet her one day. And there she was. I fell in love the

second I laid eyes on her. After 3 years of mediation on my Mother, I was

finally able to lay my head in her lap. It was unexplainable the feeling in my

heart. She brings me humility, joy, happiness, and peace. To see only a picture

of her hand or Holy feet could send me into pure bliss itself. I can't imagine

my life without her. I would be lost. I Thank Amma for inspiring me to change

my life into what it is. I thank Amma for touching all our lives in the Divine

way she does.
