Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, I know/have known a couple of people who use medical marijuana for pain management. The alternative is heavy pain meds that have a lot of side effects and make the user unable to function. For purposes of pain management in these people they either had to use it once in several days, or just take one hit before bed. It has become a major hassle for them to get, because of the zeal of the feds to bust the legalized "stores" here in California. The people I know who are/have used medical marijuana are on disablilty, so they have very little money, and the pot is very expensive. They have to take their doctor's prescription to the marijuana "store" which may be several miles away. The whole thing is a major hassle, but the drug is far superior in so many ways to Vicodin. Codine, etc. I even knew a woman who was on a morphine like drug because her pain was so severe. She couldn't handle the pain so she overdosed and killed herself. Sorry to get on a soap box here, but it seems that a hit off a joint is far less risky than the alternatives. As for glamorizing - these folks are quite secretive about what they are doing because they don't want to get busted. Jai Ma!
