It is beautiful, and isn't it amazing and wonderful how, when one peels back the "dress up" aspect of spirituality belief systems, what is found is the Truth, and invariably, it is consistent across time and throughout belief systems. When I was younger I did much cross cultural study of different religions, and then I became very involved with shamanism and with Native American Spirituality. And then, having already begun to read sacred Eastern texts, excerpted for a wonderful book, "The Meeting of East and West" (I think), I became involved in Hinduism. What I discovered is what I first said. Now if only all the people in the world, all believing in their various belief systems could only get beyond the "dress up" (and in some cases, the "my way is the only way" thing), imagine what a sea change there would be in this world. Upon meeting a believer in Islam or a Buddhist or a Hasidic Jewish person, I would only see God/dess, and so would they. That I am not wearing a burkah would not be noticed. That I am white anglo saxon (and so they might think, Christian) would be of no import. We would all bow down to the God/dess in each other.
