True spiritual experiences far outweigh those that are drug induced ... there is no comparison (hey, I was a teen and young woman in the 60's). I have followed this thread with interest. So far I have not see anyone bring the issue of the medical use of marijuana to the discussion. It has been demonstrated, particular with those who have AIDS that marijuana can help them overcome the nausea, which makes it difficult for them to eat. It also reduces pain. And when you think of it ... it is preferable to use something natural in these types of cases or some synthetic drug? I guess I am saying it has it's uses. (Also, if growing hemp were legal in the US, many trees could be saved, because hemp can be used to make paper, textiles, clothing, etc.). But I do agree, and will say again, that, in my own mind taking marijuana to have a spiritual experience is like eating a picture of a banana ... not the real thing.
