I didn't get my name from Amma (had I received it from

Amma, it probably would have been "Kevalan") but from

Yogi Amrit Desai in 1992, back in the days when the

Kripalu Center was still an ashram rather than a

low-budget Canyon Ranch and a couple years before YAD

got the boot from that place for abuse of the power

that comes from the barrel of a penis. I could have

asked Amma for a new name at some point, and I do know

some devotees who have received more than one

spiritual or Sanskrit name from each of their

teachers/gurus. but I decided to stick with Keval, to

remember what got me started on this path and to keep

the connection with Swami Kripalvanand and Kripalu

yoga (the traditional style, as would have been taught

by YAD, not what passes for for Kripalu at Lenox 01240

now).

and oh yeah, don't use Re: Digest Number

1875 for this thread!!

Keval
