Guest guest
These are my November 17 notes from San Ramon: I know the first part was Dayamrita Swami's talk, and the last half I think is from Amma herself. I apologize for the brevity. Other notes will be somewhat more complete, I think. We see more and more "adharma," the rise of selfishness. On the subject of answering her children's questions, Amma said that God and Guru will not appear unless the lover/disciple are present. Self-Realization is the process of inner awakening. The experience of God is totally internal. Despite our seeming "lack of progress," we need to keep doing our spiritual practices. If we stop, it's very hard to start again. Prayer without purity of action is of little use. It's like keeping milk in a dirty vessel. Don't criticize others. Try not to get angry with others. We need to attain love in this life. The greatest gain is love. The greatest loss is lack of love. The earth and nature is our mother. Bringing happiness to a soul for even a minute is a great thing. Love is the beauty of life. Love is God's real home. In Amma's service, Jyotsna
Guest guest
Jyotsna, Thanks for posting this. It's nice to see more of the "retreat" on here as a refresher. How quickly we forget! Another statement I happened to recall Amma saying: Someone asked why they were not making any spiritual progress. Amma responded that "just thinking of sprituality, having that thought,- meant that they were making progress!" Ammachi, "E.
