The Incredible String Band was one of my favorite groups many years ago, but I have not heard any of their music for a long time. Hearing this song was wonderful, and thank you for posting the lyrics. I have discovered that many groups whose music was originally on vinyl have gone back and have their music remastered to CD. Now I will have to see if I can find the Incredible String Band. I was always enchanted by your list. We have a lot of the same favorites ~ Alison Krauss, Bobbi McFerrin, Iris Dement (and I thought she was a fairly well kept secret), Nickel Creek (one of my new favs ~ I have two of their CDs), and of course, the Incredible String Band. Here is a link where you can hear a relatively unknown group (part of the new music underground of Indie artists... Independent Musicians ... ), the Sherwood Blues Band singing "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" and "Amazing Grace." There are other selections as well. And his story was so interesting. He grew up almost in the same neighborhood I did, only about 20 years later. These are beautiful songs ... give yourselves a treat. _http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/sherwoodbb_ (http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/sherwoodbb) Blessings ~ Linda
Guest guest
You might want to try Rhapsody - $10/month and you can listen to just about anything worth listening to ever recorded, including the Incredible String Band. But you have to have good speakers on your computer or good headphones to make it worthwhile. ---- Rick Archer SearchSummit 1108 South B Street Fairfield, IA 52556 Phone: 641-472-9336 Fax: 815-572-5842 Skype: Rick_Archer rick http://searchsummit.com Ammachi [Ammachi] On Behalf Of nierika Monday, December 26, 2005 11:45 AM Ammachi Re: To Rick on Favorite Music List Rich wrote: >> Here's a little Christmas present.
