Guest guest
Namah Shivaya Georgeson, This is very well said. To some degree, I have no choice but to be in proximity of some of the tiger Gods. On the other hand, I think it's good to salute people, even while they're sick. Kind of like when Jesus said if we salute only our brethren, then we're no different from the pharisees. (something like that) Someone shared a spiritual practice, with the aim of protecting me, in addition to purifying the energy of those around me. Then, some other cleansing practices for when I get home. I really need to become consistent with those practices. I see some real tiger Gods as people, when they're under the influenc of a substance. I prefer not to talk to people when they're using drugs or alcolhol. Even at the shelter, it's seems be the people curently on drugs & alcohol, (it's not allowed there) who seem to cause the most problems. They can really poison the environment. Roy was attacked by a tiger a few years agao and is now in severe physical incapacity. Sri Ramakrishna was a 19th Century Mahatma. In the 108 names of Ammachi Sri Ramakrishna is mentioned in numbers 56 through 60. Amma Herself visited Belur Math (Sri Ramakrishna's home) Sri Ramakrishna warned his monks to not hug a tiger. They are God. That is true. All in creation are aspects of the one indivisible All. Nevertheless SriRamakrishna said that they are Gods (true) (BUT) - salute them - SALUTE THEM FROM AFAR. Here is the excerpt from the Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna on TIGER GODS. Sunday, February 18, 1883. SRI RAMAKRISHNA arrived at Govinda Mukherji's house at Belgharia, near Calcutta. Besides Narendra, Ram, and other devotees, some of Govinda's neighbors were present. The Master first sang and danced with the devotees. After the kirtan they sat down. Many saluted the Master. Now and then he would say, "Bow before God." Master's attitude toward the wicked "It is God alone", he said, "who has become all this. But in certain places -- for instance, in a holy man -- there is a greater manifestation than in others. You may say, there are wicked men also. That is true, even as there are tigers and lions; but one need not hug the 'tiger God'. One should keep away from him and salute him from a distance. Take water, for instance. Some water may be drunk, some may be used for worship, some for bathing, and some only for washing dishes."
