To Themba on such people (Amma's help & advice)

ONS Themba,

My question posed to Amma through a Sw., was if I should accept a PT job working

nights at a homeless shelter. The offer was for a position scheduled to end in

a matter of months. Amma said that I should decline the offer, because it was a

temporary position, so it wasn't worth it. Then Amma added that I would need to

be careful while working with such people. So, I left a message with the hiring

manager that I was rescinding my acceptance of his job offer, because someone

who I trusted very much, advised me not to accpet the job, since it was only

temporary. Maybe 2-3 weeks later, he offered the same job to me, only this time

it was FT, permanent & benefitted.

I still work for the same agency, but have moved into a day counselor position

for a rehab program. It serves people with a dual diagnosis, of some pretty

severe psychiatric diagnosis, plus drug (heroine, meth, or you name it), &, or

alcohol addictions. The program's participants stay at the shelter, where I

used to work nights.

So, to me it meant that Amma was referring to the people who are mentally ill,

addicted to drugs & alcohol, have murdered people, stolen, acted as satanic

priests, raped women, plus much more, & any combination thereof. There have

been been fights, the office door & window was broken by someone who was angry &

high on meth, things are stolen regularily, etc ... Amma's advice was very

good. I've learned the hard way that I need to be careful not just on a

physical level, but also on a spiritual level, because these people & I think

what's around them, can affect me.

So, I'm very grateful for our Kali-Amma's protection.

I would like to reword this to "some such people." The divinity in the people

whom I serve, can unfold & become apparent to even me, amazingly fast. Many of

them share alot of love, teach me, & have a very positive effect on me.

has also been on both sides of the fence.as you know he has worked with

"such people" and lived in a psychiatric shelter for three years .when you

sent the message it was unclear and he is glad that you helped him get

clarity.AMMAS name was no where near the post.when AMMAs son got it ,it had

been cut short.when AMMA said such people, SHE OFCOURSE WAS SAYING IT FROM A

PLACE OF CONCERN NOT ONLY FOR YOU ,BUT ALSO THE WHOLE.

IT IS A SENSITIVE SUBJECT FOR HIM BECAUSE IT SEEMS THAT MOST PEOPLE CONSIDER

"SUCH PEOPLE",TO ALMOST NOT "BE PEOPLE".AMMAs son considers himself to be

one of those "SUCH PEOPLE" AS he also considers himself to be one with

humanity.

AMMA s son hopes you understand his challenge.

It's my humble opinion, that until fully enlightened, sll of us probably have

mental health & moral problems. It's just a matter of to wha degree, & whether

or not those vasanas have shown up during this lifetime. If it weren't for

Grace, any one of us could end up in the same position, as many "such people,"

at any time.

IMHO many of us are "such people" of some sort. Whether we are poor, or

sick, or

just not "well wrapped". We may not all be physically dangerous, but

most of us are definitely "works in progress"

dearest beloved sister sweta.AMMAs son doesnt want to give to much attention

to his opinion .we have a bigger picture to focus on ,which is to bring our

brothers and sisters to THEIR HOLY MOTHER .forgive your brother for getting

dearest beloved sister sweta.you are so blessed to be doing what you are

doing .by you serving those who have such a great need ,you are actually

exausting your negative karma for lack of a better way to put it.you are

serving societys so-called outkast and that is a blessed postion to be in.it

takes a BIG heart to do what you do and AMMAs son knows you will not take

any credit for it.

This is a very good point! First of all, I guess only Mother knows our

vasanas, secondly, when we react to what we

perceive as another person's vasanas, or faults, we are talking about,.

or feeling, our own buttons being pushed. If we were totally without

ego, there wouldn't be anyone there - thus no buttons to push.

AMMAs son has learned that if it was not for the DOCTRINE OF THE EGO that

there would be no eastern philosophy.hah.hah.he is actually greatful to the

ego because it has taught him so much.not only the ego that we might calll

HIS ,BUT ALL OF THE SO-CALLED EGOS.the ego is no longer something for AMMAs

to dread but something to watch and to use effectively.there are so many

BEAUTIFUL ways to view AMMAS Play.BABA MUKTANDA USE TO SAY'the infinite

kingdom of the mind'.THERE ARE ORGANIZATION EGOS ,GOVERNMENT EGOS,CULTURAL

EGOS ETC.ITS ALL TRULY WONDERFUL IF YOU JUST WATCH IT ALL.THERE IS AN EGO

EVEN AROUND AMMAS ORGANIZATION.

OFCOURSE AMMA IS BEYOND ALL OF THAT BUT IS THE ORGANIZATION,OR BETTER YET

ARE THE MINDS OF THE PEOPLE THAT FORMED IT BEYOND THAT?IT IS AWSOME TO LIVE

IN THE FREEDOM TO BE FREE ENOUGH TO VIEW IT SUCH AS THIS.

SEEING THE ONENESS IN THE DIVERSITY.AHHH,WHAT A GIFT FROM MOTHER.THE REASON

THAT AMMAs son knows that it is a gift is because there was a time in this

current life where he didnt seee it like this.

AMMAs son is still dependent on HER GRACE TOTALLY AND he stays AWARE of

THAT most of all,BECAUSE WITHOUT HER SUNSHINE,AIR,TREES ,YOU ALL,BIRDS

,WATER,ETC.his life wouldnt be and it would be meaningless.

OH YEAH .WITNESSING THE PLAY IS AWSOME, BUT NOT MORE AWSOME THEN

CONTEMPLATING HER GRACE.WITHOUT THAT ALL BETS ARE OF.NO WITNESSING.NO

SELFLESS SERVICE.NO-NOTHING.

IT IS ONLY THROUGH HER GRACE THAT AMMAs son CAN WITH FULL CONFIDENCE
