Here the notes:

"To experience love, one must express love.

When disciplehood awakens, the guru appears.

You are nobody. You come from nothingness. You are going nowhere. You

are here to ask questions!

Dear Angela ~ thank you so much for taking these notes and sharing them. I

have copied them all and am saving them for future reference. It is so helpful

for those of us (well, for me at least) who are unable to attend to have

these first hand accounts, not only of how wonderful it is to be near Mother,

but

of what is said (taught). These are like pearls on a string. Blessings ~

Linda

Here are more notes I took at Michigan, taken from Swamiji's satsang

and the Question and Answer session:

On negative thoughts:

"The very effort to avoid a thought gives it attention. If you want

to *not* think a thought, you are already thinking about it! Watch

the thoughts without looking at them. (This is what I wrote down, I

don't know if it's completely accurate. To me it sounds like a riddle

or a koan to be contemplated on!) There is no need to stop them (the

thoughts). Feel positive about them; neither afraid, nor angry. Offer

them all at the feet of the guru."...

Dear Angela and All ~ this makes perfect sense to me. At one point in my

life I had declared war on myself. I had so many negative, horrible thoughts

that they frightened me. None of the therapists I saw could offer any help.

Much

of this, I now know was related to the abuse I suffered during my childhood.

In my early 20's I learned TM. Interestingly, the person who initiated me

cued me on thoughts (and feelings, and visions) in much the same way that

Swamiji did at the retreat. She said, "don't try to hold on to them; don't try

to

push them away. Just let them pass by like clouds." (She was also referring

to positive thoughts, any thoughts.) In my practice of TM, I found this to be

much easier than I thought it would be. And when you can let a thought just

pass by, without judgement, without pushing, without grasping, it loses all

the power it has over you. Jai Ma ~ Linda
