Inmates interested in Amma:--Letter Writers Needed

You may think this is a message for Themba but this time it is for

YOU. Mainly thanks to Themba's enthusiasm and love for Amma, Circle

of Love inside has received letters from about 15 inmates in the

Illinois prison system within the past 2 months. I am not asking

you to consider writing to all of these men. Some of them have

become Amma devotees. Others are interested in Amma.

 

I received a letter from a man in Illinois last week. His cellmate

wrote to COLI recently asking for more information about Amma. He

had heard about Amma from someone Themba told about her. Amma had

just visited so my reply was probably quite inspired. I also sent

his cellmate a Biography of Amma. This man writes

 

"I decided to write you because my room mate ...... be telling me

all about you and Amma and therefore I was overwhelmed at the

moment. So I'm overwhelmed and wanted to write to tell you about

me. My name is Johnnie ....and I'm 36 years of age. I been gone

for a long time and it been 4 years since I wrote someone until now

because I have no one to write to, but I maintain myself by going to

school to get my GED, so that I can get in college and get me a

trade...so I can better myself so I won't end up back in here.

 

I will love to know about the Circle of Love more. I don't have no

one writing me because I have no family to depend on in the world

and the Circle of Love is something I need in my life. I will love

to hear...more about Circle of Love and Amma. I seen her picture

and she look and feel like she's fill with all God spirit."

 

I hope that you can breathe in deeply that God spirit which radiates

to these brothers in spite of their current addresses. Would you

like to write to Johnnie and share your experiences with Amma and

what she means to you? His cellmate also needs someone who loves

Amma to write to him. So does the young man Themba met who shared

the story about our beloved Amma with his brother.

 

Amma finds her children wherever they are and brings them home.

Dear Aikya,

 

I'd love to write to some of Amma's children who are Inside the Prison

System. I live in Southern California. If I could write to an inmate

in Southern California I also might get to visit them someday.
