Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya: I bow down to all on this list. It is not surprising that many of you have an anti-authoritarian predisposition. This son is no exception. Many have the image of U.S. Senators as corpulent bloated pink cheeked MEN with a staged presentation. This may not be a stretch. However Amma was honored by two WOMEN politicians Governor Granholm and Senator Stabenow are democratic Women!! Hide your children, Red Staters. Senator Grabenow's biography states: "She worked with youth in the public schools before running for public office." please click here for Senator Stabenow http://stabenow.senate.gov/biography.htm Governor Granholm who had the distinction of being the first female Attorney General in Michigan's history. Ms. Granholm was born in CANADA!! Yikes again. Please see http://www.michigan.gov/gov/0,1607,7-168--57920--,00.html Governor Granholm is (oh no not again a) HUSH -OOH -aH NOT AGAIN YIKES A DEMOCRAT AS WELL. Rather than coming from privilege Granholm was the first in her family to attend college. I was fortunate to be present at the Michigan retreat. I was deeply moved by a U.S. Senator taking time to personally receive Amma's darshan. The darshan was long and her husband received one too. Please click at: http://www.amritapuri.org/amma/2005/511bless.php So the ill winds of controversy may consider me a panderer. At least pandering is akin to humility. Nevertheless I wolcome any contrary take on this. We should love each other on this list as Amma loves. With Love Borrowed from you know who, GeorgeSon Chitanand P.S. The President of India is a minority. He is a muslem in a primarily hindu country So once again Amma attracts the "non=conventional" politician? Gandhi's karma yoga was public service. My original post was meant to give a defense to cultist notions. Namaste

Guest guest
Namaste, Georgeson, I personally don't care whether the politicians be men or women or any combination thereof. I resonate most to the words of the Man from Galilee who stated, "My kindgom is not of this world." As just a humble aside, the politician's own website might be a less-than-objective source of information. With love to my brother, Jyotsna Ammachi, GeorgeSon <leokomor> wrote: > > Om Namah Shivaya: > > I bow down to all on this list. > It is not surprising that many of > you have an anti-authoritarian predisposition. > > This son is no exception. > > Many have the image of U.S. Senators as > corpulent bloated pink cheeked MEN with > a staged presentation.
