Dear vicki ~ I got an email about this young girl, and I did not know you

were a member of the Ammachi digest, so forgive my email where I suggested we

our projects, like the Circle of Love, have received instructions from Swami

Dayamrita about not using the digest to raise money. (Aikya, if I'm wrong

Because attachment and pictures cannot be put in the digest, the picture of

the little girl and the information did not show up in your post. For all who

do not already know about this, a little girl is in a hospital in Thailand.

She appears to be "western" (I am thinking about all our recent conversations

about race). Her parents are nowhere to be found, and an effort is being

made to raise money to help her. I have suggested that this matter be taken to

Swami Dyamarita or one of the other swamis to ask Amma if donations could be

sent to the "disaster relief" area of the M.A. Center website, but earmarked

to assist this child. It is clear that something needs to be done quickly,

before she falls through the cracks.

 

Vicki ~ you could probably post the information that was in your email to

the Page, either as a file in the "Files" section or as a picture in the

"Photos" section. Make a folder for it, call it Lost Child or something, then

post back to us that the information is up. I still have the email, so if you

need help doing this, I'd be glad to do it. Just email me off-digest.
