Guest guest
Several years ago it occurred to me that in general society has things quite backwards. We admire those who are given the gifts of wealth, brains and beauty. Not the ones who have to scramble to exist on a handful of rice. Instead of worshiping the celebrities, with their numerous homes and face lifts, we should be admiring the people who every day deal with poverty, illness, war, genocide. What makes a CEO more deserving of respect than a janitor or a coconut picker? A person who is lucky in business is lauded, while a person who has suffered loss, or never even had a chance, is disparaged. Plain weird. > To think that something(unearned apparent privelege) that is going to > preempt any chance at peace in your life is a privelege, just goes to > show how ignorant most folks are.
