This morning Doug took my face into his hands and told me how worried he is about me because I wake up every morning, so sad, so depressed, trying to hide the tears. Most of this is about the unhealed rift in my family and my knowing that I will never have closure with my Mother, and also living the effects of my own spontaneous response to take care of her when I gave away all the money my father had sent to me. I feel so lost ... and it is this group, and the things we share that helps keep me from falling over the edge. This is truly a beautiful poem, and I will save it, tape it onto my refrigerator as a reminder that there is a reason for everything, and to turn my tears outward and cry out to God.
