Guest guest
Namaste Temba (and everyone), I am a Hispanic female, and although I've never been in the presence of any satsangs, Amma, or any other Amma devotee, I've noticed that a Hispanic Hindu is quite the rarity. I live in SE Tennessee, the "Bible Belt", so being Hindu, alone, is enough to generate discrimination around here. But most people immediately assume that all Hispanics are Catholic (and that all Black-Americans are Baptist), so they are shocked to hear I am a Hindu. I don't hide my religion or my faith and beliefs at all - it doesn't bother me at all to be looked at as an oddball. (**) I notice I gain more acceptance as being a Hispanic Hindu online versus offline. Either is fine with me... I'm not looking for acceptance from anyone. I do notice that I get the most acceptance (aside from other non-Asian Hindus) from Indians. I've been told many times that I could easily pass as Indian, according to my facial features... perhaps that has a wee influence in it all, who knows. All I know is that there is too much racism and prejudice in this world... and I delight in anyone and anything that overcomes those boundaries. Jai Ma and her loving acceptance of us all! ¸..• ´¨¨)) -:¦:- ¸.•´ .•´¨¨)) ((¸¸.•´ ..•´ -:¦:- ..::Brightest Blessings::.. -:¦:- ((¸¸.•´.¸..•` ..::Bela::..
