I certainly in my whole life, even when I was very healthy, have not been able to stay up all night. So I don't know how most people manage to stay in the hall all night. As for the programs and getting a token to get a token, they told us to come back at a particular time, which was several hours hence. So you would have time to go to your room to rest and then go back and check on your token. As much as Mother wants us to spend as much time as we can with Her, I don't think She wants us to make ourselves sicker...I have not tried to make arrangements before attending a program, but you might try to see if you can get in touch with someone at the Sante Fe ashram and speak with whoever is in charge of the hall, or whoever is in charge of special needs, so you can give them a heads up, and so you know more about what to expect. The situation is difficult, but it is doable if you stay in the same hotel.. Also, I have never been able to fully participate in Mother's programs, so I don't know what I am missing! I pay to go to a retreat, and then attend maybe a third of it, but I get a lot out of it. Dear Prasadini ~ thank you for writing to me. I think my hair was on fire when I wrote my email. : ) I am much reassured by what you have said, and your suggestion to contact the people in Santa Fe in advance is a great one ~ I will do that, when it is a bit closer to next year's tour, and see what they suggest. I really appreciate your sharing so much of your experience with me. Years ago, I attended a retreat in Rhode Island, when they were still at the college. I was sick then, but nowhere near how sick I am now, so I was able to participate in a lot of the retreat programs, which was truly wonderful. I am grateful for every moment I have had with Amma and every opportunity for tour seva, because I can't do much. One year I helped my sister prepare the cloth enclosed room on the stage that Amma uses for rest in between different parts of the program. I felt so blessed. I got to make Her little bed. In the early days, before there were huge crowds, at one of the Washington, DC, programs, my sister dragged me over to the stage. She wanted me to sit as close to Mother as possible. I didn't want to deprive someone else of the space, so she actually shoved me up onto the stage. LOL It was really wonderful sitting up there, even though I wasn't really close to Amma, I was as close as a person could get other than Darsan. It seemed like a dream then, and that is how I remember it ~ so lovely, listening to the singing, watching Amma giving Darshan. It was like a canopy of peace had descended over me. Again, my thanks.
