Guest guest
Om Amriteswarye Namah, You know... this is so true and I'm glad that Aikya articulates this so well. The "initiated" ones hold the space for Mother. When I was new to Mother, I didn't sit in the hall for all the hours I can now. I didn't "get" it then. It took time. The first year I went, I didn't even get a token because someone said it would be 3 am before my darshan. I lost interest and left. (Too bad I didn't receive the correct info.) Of course she is primarily "holding the space"for us, but also, she needs us to reciprocate. This is why she closes the doors during Devi Bhava , when people are feeling like they'd like to go and sleep. No, she needs us to help maintain the bhava, the energy. It builds, builds the night through. I used to care about getting a low numbered token. Now I don't. Just knowing I'll receive darshan is enough. It hardly matters, earlier or later. I love to just sit and "soak it up" in the hall. Get filled with the mystical atmosphere, trancelike. And eventually this mindset shifts to that of feeling that just being in the presence of an enlightened master IS the darshan.
