Which satsang are you associated with?

Just wondering

Dear Malati ~ I live in Silver City, New Mexico, and I'm about 6 hours away

from the nearest satsang, which would be Albuquerque. Because of my illness,

I am unable to drive even for an hour, much less for 6. Earlier this year, I

realized a dream I have had for a long time, to have a satsang here. So we

have a very small satsang, about 5 or 6 regulars. I have missed several of the

meetings because of my illness, and I have been very happy to see that the

satsang meets without me and has gotten an identity of its own.

That being said, the only activity the people in our satsang want to do is

watch movies about Amma. I have suggested meditation, singing, chanting the

108 names of Amma, and unfortunately, all these suggestions have been met with

a complete lack of interest. I did receive all the materials that a new

satsang trying to get off the ground receives from the regional coordinator,

including some instructions from Swami Dayamrita. According to those suggested

guidelines, we aren't really a satsang. This group is more of a satsang to me,

although as my health allows, I will go to our little satsang here and keep

hoping that they will at some point be interested in doing some devotional

activities.

Dear Nieraka,

Perhaps you can suggest to the group how much your heart longs to do

the sadhana practices as other Satsangs do. We have even done the

programs with as few as three of us and it has been sublime. Surely

someone in the group has the same desire. Find those who want to do

the program of a Satsang and begin anew. Even if it is just one other

person-our Satsang began with only two women meeting do Satsang for

two years. If you need help, let us know.
