So I looked into ayurveda a little and found that the spices in curry powder are also considered healing herbs which are said to boost your immune system among other benefits. So I started making sure I consumed at least a teaspoon of curry powder or up to a tablespoon just about every day and my allergy has not returned. I like curry spices so it's not a problem for me but if I didn't I'd probably take it by filling gelcaps from a health food store. Well this is not exactly a scientific study and I'm not saying this will cure anyone of anything but it might improve your immune system and help at least a little. And I doubt it could hurt in any way. Dear muyilusionada ~ thank you so much for sharing this. I love curry; in fact I love Indian food in general. But would you believe, I don't have curry powder in my spice rack? Living in a trailer and being sick, not having a regular sized kitchen, has led me to rely on frozen food to often, rather thank cooking. And it does not surprise me at all that curry has immune boosting benefits. I am glad it helped your allergy. I have allergies too (along with all the other stuff), and am constantly fighting off sinus infections and, occasionally, bronchitis, etc. I would never have thought of putting curry powder into gel caps. What a terrific idea. My next trip to the health food store, I will definitely add this to the few supplements my body seems able to tolerate. If anyone knows of a website or has any very simple Indian food recipies that use curry, I would love to know about that too. I think I would be happy even just eating rice and curry with a few veggies thrown in...probably healthier than what I have been eating. Again, muyilusionada, thank you very much, blessings ~ Linda
