Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya During Amma's 2003 London program a few Irish devotees formally invited Amma to Ireland, at the end of one of the evening darshan programs. Amma told them to go ahead and make plans. The following was told to me by M., an Irish devotee, in her charming Irish brogue. During the following year ( 2004) a Swami was asked if Amma had said anything about coming to Ireland, and the Swami answered , "no". In August, 2004, while at Amritapuri, Amma said to the guy - devotee around Amma, who wears glasses, dresses in white, and is a bit bald ( M. did not know his name, but I think it can only be Bipin), "Why can't Amma go to Ireland ?" This was immediately communicated to M., who was at Amritapuri at the time. So, M. knew then that Amma was coming to Ireland and everything needed to get organized. One of the things that the organizers in Ireland were really concerned about was the publicity for Amma's program . They worried that they had not done a proper job on this, and that not many would show up to attend Amma's 2004 first ever program in Ireland. The program was on a weekend. Out of the blue ( and uninvited), on the Friday before the program a local TV crew showed up and asked if they could film what was happening. They were filming for a local TV program on what was happening in Dublin on the weekend . Of course, the orgainizers were delighted, and gave the TV crew permission to film, and also gave information about Amma. That Program, containing a short bit about Amma's coming visit to Dublin, was then seen in the evening by the TV program's large audience. Amma's first program (in 2004 ) in Ireland was a big success. Over 15,000 people attend the 2 day program, which turned out to be the largest attendance at an Amma program outside of India. And, Amma clearly arranged the publicity HERSELF. JAI MA ! --- In Amma's Love, sarama JAI MA !

Prayer is nothing but emptying the mind, ridding oneself of the vasanas. Prayer is nothing but accepting His supremacy and remembering your own nothingness~I am nothing~I am nobody~You are everything. Prayer teaches humility. You are seeking His refuge, His love, His grace, compassion and help, in order to reach Him. You are calling out, trying to reach out. Prayer is surrendering the ego. --Ammachi, "Awaken Children," Vol.5, p30
