Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya story: A lady friend, J., from Iceland, who last saw Amma a few years ago, also attended Amma's London progarm. J. brought to the first morning's program 2 other Icelanders, who had never seen Amma before. Amma has always given J. a lot of good and special attention whenever J. has gone to see Her, and this was also the case this time. J. was very distraught, in London, because her daughter, S.(about 23 yrs. old), was at stuck in a hotel in Havana, Cuba ( because of S.'s job), and had absolutely no way to leave Havana. Hurricane Wilma was barrelling straight towards Havana with winds of 175 miles per hour - the stongest hurricane ever seen. S. had gone to stores to try and buy food and water, but everything was already gone from the shelves. J. , of course, was praying to Amma with all her force, and took up a vigil close to Amma's chair. Also, J. spoke to Amma about the situation during her darshans. By the day of the second mornings's program, J. reported to us that Wilma had changed course a little, and Havana was not straight in the bullseye, thank God ( AND SHE WAS THANKING AMMA FOR THAT) but Havana was still going to get hit by Wilama's outer winds and force. That day we had lunch with M., an Irish devotee. M. told us the following story. Once, during a program she was attending in the U.S., Amma said to one of the devotees near Her that it was good, at last, to hear the devotee's father praying. The devotee was stunned, and did not know what to think, because her father never prays. Later on, the devotee found out that exactly at that moment her father was on an airplane that was experiencing severe trouble, and her father was intensely praying to God for help. The airplane her father was on did land safely. So, M. ( the Irish devotee) said to J., you are in the right place, and you have nothing at all to fear; Amma is looking after your daughter. J.'s daughter, S., suffered no injury when Wilma passed over Havana, and could safely return to Iceland a few days later. There were no deaths or severe injuries , to my knowledge, caused by Wilma in Cuba. --- May Amma protects us all. Many people have lost faith. They do not feel any love and compassion, and the team spirit of working together, hand in hand, for the good of all, has been lost. This will have a bad effect on Nature. Nature will withdraw all her blessings and turn against man. Unimaginable will be Nature's reaction if man continues like this." -- Ammachi, Man and Nature, p28
