Dear GeorgeSon ~ somehow, I never would have expected this very musically complex album to have been the first. That is very interesting to me. I had assumed it was a later CD, and that the first must have been more simple. But "One Track Heart" is amazing and wonderful, with all the background vocals and additional instrumentation, as you mention above. The very first song, "Hare, Hare Mahadeva Shambo"...kashi Visva nacta gunge... not sure if I got that last bit right. This is one of my favorite bhajans, and it is so interesting the way KD makes it into a kind of raggae song. Eventually, I'll catch up and have all his CDs. : ) I just wish he would come back to Santa Fe again to perform. He hasn't since I saw him about four years ago. I love his voice. It is one of my favorites. Thanks for the discography ~ now I know some more really great stuff I can get. I do have one of Nakai's CDs, but I don't think it's either of the ones mentioned. Thank you, GeorgeSon ~ Linda
Guest guest
Dear GeorgeSon, I want to thank you again for telling me of Geoffrey Gordon. I googled his name and found his website. He is quite a busy musician. Besides all the albums he has contributed to, he gives kirtan workshops, and has an upcoming workshop with Krishna Das (I forget where). Oh how I wish I could go to that. Under one of the categories, there was a CD, "One Home," that looked like it might be his own CD, but there was no information and no tracks to listen to, so I have written to him about it. Will let everyone know what I hear back. In the meantime, if anyone wants to visit his site, here is the address: _http://geoffreygordon.com_ (http://geoffreygordon.com) Blessings ~ Linda
