As you all know, Amma will soon visit us here in Michigan and we hope to see you

here. As you also know all of the program events and planning are done by

volunteers. Since the program venue was announced so close to the actual date

of the program, some of the people who usually help us may be unable to attend.

If you are interested in doing seva before or during the program here in

Michigan here is some information for you:

 

 

 

Sevite needs

 

 

 

We appreciate any help you can provide for the upcoming Michigan program in

either a Coordinator or Volunteer capacity.

All kitchen sevas – Veggie prep, dish washing, dining room serving, dining room

cleaning

 

All Hall sevas – Line entry, seater, greeter

 

Children’s programs – childcare, youth and teens

For the thousands of people who died in the devastating earthquake in

Pakistan, India and Afghanistan…

For those who lost their homes and hopes in the tsunami…And in the Hurricane

the United States…

For the people who died in the stampede in Iraq…

For those who drowned in the floods in Mumbai and South America…

For the people who are dying in wars and terrorist attacks… for their peace

of mind and also for their near and dear ones who will have to continue living

immersed in the painful memories of the departed souls…"

resolution to conflicts

For the starving people, especially the children, in Nigeria

For the "dark cloud" time in 2005 still seen by Amma

Then people can proceed with their prayer, whatever they wish it to be.

Some of the suggestions are:

* to say the Aum Amriteswaryai Namah (a mala or as many or as

few as is comfortable)

 

* to say your own mantra given by Amma, or some other mantra you

feel especially drawn to

 

* to say the 108 Names of Amma

 

* to pray in any other way that suits you

 

* to say the Mahamrtumjaya Mantra (I suggest 21 times, but again,

as many or as few as is comfortable.

Mantra: tryambakam yajamahe sugandhim pushtivarddhanam

urruvarukamiva bandhanan mrtyor mukshi ymamrtat

 

It has been suggested that people could use these names and continue to

pray each day or any one or more days during the week, however, the

official

PRAYER GROUP DAY will be SUNDAY.

 

I would like to suggest, and again this is only a suggestion that people

can do

or not do, that we end with:

 

Om Lokaah Samastaa Sukhinoh Bhavantu (May all Beings be Happy)

and

Shant Shanti Shanti
