Dear Karen ~ I have been looking for copies of the bhajanamritam tapes, which were the first ever issued by the M.A. Center. I only have two, and I love them both. I thought my sister had some, but she only had one and wasn't willing to let it go, even for me to copy. LOL Fortunately, it was one of the two tapes I already had. Recently, I wrote to the M.A. Center bookstore to ask if these tapes were still available, and received an answer that they were no longer being offered because the quality was so poor. Perhaps compared to today's CD recording standards that is true, but the two I have are of very good quality. Perhaps if the M.A. Center got lots of letters about selling these tapes again, they would consider it. Write and tell them about your friend. The website did say at one point that the Amritamjali tapes will also be discontinued in two years, but the site no longer says that. Maybe they got lots of letters. : ) The bhajanamritam series was some of the best music offered for purchase, and perhaps because it was early on, the tapes were very simple, and in this simplicity were so beautiful. Also they are from the "early days," which gives them a special significance. Letter writers, pen in hand ... shall we have a write-in campaign to bring these back? Jai Ma ~ Linda P.S. Some people have had luck finding some of the older Amma items on ebay. It's always worth a try.
