Guest guest
Glad to see y'all makin' the distinction between a guru and saint... They're synonyms, aren't they? Someone get me a dictionary. Saintliness aside, too many people think that just because someone is considered a "guru", then they must be so and it is therefore disrespectful to talk about them in a negative way (perceived or otherwise). Wrong. Or to question their level, wrong again. IT'S YOUR OWN TRUE GURU THAT YOU DON'T DISRESPECT, like you don't bite the hand that feeds you. Any true guru will want you to see the truth and discuss things if it is truth, positive or hurtful... I mean negative;-}. What do you think satsang is? Bhajans and meditation? Ahhh, "beginners", I apologize. Jesus' famous line is "Judge not lest ye be judged" (general, philosophical teaching), but there are plenty of examples where St. Paul says to "Judge for yourselves..." (practical teaching, discrimination). For those who care to re-read my post on Anandamayi Ma, I never questioned her saintliness or status of realization, or blessing: only questioned choosing someone in her state as a "guru". Realists are always seen as negative people because they see both sides. If you want to experience Brahman (true Reality), you'll never get there seeing only the positive (the half-truth). It's for peace of mind, and avoiding improper judgements that you should see only the positive side in people. Keep invoking ignorance and that's how you'll stay. tom
