Guest guest
To me, this is the difference between judgment and discrimination: Neither involve feelings or intuition, only facts. Both involve risk taking and are interwoven. JUDGMENT "Don't Be Judgmental!!!", Purpose of teaching = Causes people to withhold Decisions, because they're ignorant of the facts that would affect an Accurate judgment. Generally a good way to go when you don't having anything to base your "judgement" on. People still judge criminals (dharmic judgment) and violent dogs. Negatives of Non-judging: Causes people not to look for facts (deters true discrimination); Causes people to ignore reality, making decisions based on feelings. Example: If someone bothers you, they must be a negative person, and if you can find 5 more people to agree with you, y'all must be right (wrong). DISCRIMINATION (temporary judgements, decision making) Analyzing facts and finding relations with teachings to make a decision (judgment). Conscious awareness of Facts and Teachings ALLOWS you to change that OPINION (temporary judgement) as important facts are brought to light later. Unconscious or improper judgement is negative. If you're going to judge, judge on the facts in relation to teachings. This assumes you're aware enough to see all the facts of an experience, and assumes you're an avid reader of teachings. tom
