Guest guest
here is a description: Mike Shea (Timothy Hutton) dies and goes to heaven, where he falls in love with Annie (Kelly McGillis). They get married and are about to live happily ever after for all eternity when Annie is reincarnated and sent down to earth. Lost without her, Mike makes a deal with his guardian angel to let him reincarnate as well so he can find her. The only problem is neither will remember more than slight feelings and intuitions of their life in heaven, and they will have only 30 years to find each other. Brimming over with touches both clever and poignant, this romantic saga is a shamelessly perfect date movie and a story of beautiful inspiration for the noncynical. There's also a lot of great music from composer Mark Isham and Neil Young, whom both also appear in the film, as does Tom Petty, Ric Ocasek, Amanda Plummer, Ellen Barkin, writer Tom Robbins, and saxophone legend Pee Wee Ellis. Director Alan Rudolph directed from a screenplay by producers Bruce Evans and Raymond Gideon. -- "Naan Amme Snehikkunnu" Be Love, Egyirba http://www.egyirba.net /`/`/`/`/`/`/`/`/`/`/`/`/`/`/`/`/`/`/` -=-=- .... 0352."A scientist keeps on adding to his existing ego. He gathers more and more knowledge, more and more information, which is nothing but an act of inflating the ego. However, a rishi is completely empty. He becomes like a corpse in the river. He lets the river of life carry him anywhere it likes. The scientist is externally full, full of knowledge about the world. The rishi is internally full, full of the experience of Oneness with the Supreme Absolute. The scientist sees many; the rishi sees One. The scientist is only a part of existence, while the rishi is the whole of existence. While the scientist burdens himself with facts and figures, the rishi becomes empty so that all knowledge can pass through him but cannot affect his experience of Oneness. While the scientist limits and narrows his vision, the rishi expands and embraces the entire universe." --Ammachi, "Awaken Children," Vol.5, p18

An ordinary lover who contemplates his beloved can also have the same experience. But these people are all still egocentric. They are still on the mental plane. They are all overburdened. Their heads are full of thoughts, ideas and plans for the future. Once they come out of their so-called stillness, which does not last long, they are once again the same old small ego." --Ammachi, "Awaken Children," Vol.5, p17
