I have no satsang other than this list, and I am

horrible about doing sadhana on my own

Dear Prasadini ~ me too, and our little movie-watching satsang doesn't

really meet the needs I have to be involved in worship, bhajan singing and the

like. Our Prayer Group seva is one example of a worship activity that, even

though we are not together, we can all be involved with. And even if we aren't

doing it at the same time, perhaps many of us are doing it on Sunday. So, in a

sense, we are together.

I guess I am wondering if there is something else we could come up with,

either for you and me, or for the group, where we could know we're doing the

same thing at the same time and feel support in that way, because I do believe

the support of others is terribly important to spiritual or any kind of growth.

Chant the 108 names one day a week at a certain time? Do a simple puja

"together" (candles, incense, flowers, sing a bhajan or two, do a mala, to the

arati)? I have loved reciting the Chandi Path, which is the ritual puja used

during Navaratri, but it is also used by many at other times, and in some cases,

every single day. (It's too long for me to get there yet.) We could have a

sankalpa to recite the Chandi Path over a certain period of time, and maybe

pick a time of day for the reciting of one or two chapters. Anybody else have

any ideas? Jai Jai Ma ~ Linda

All of your ideas are good ones. For quite a while, I think it was after

the terrorist attacks, not sure, we used to chant Lokah Samastah--- at

a certain time of day so we were all

doing it at once. I know for me that doing something as long as the

Lalata Sahasranama at

a certain time of day is difficult because there are days or times I am

too sick to do anything that energy consuming. The Chandi Path sounds

similar. Maybe meditating, pujas, 108 names, etc, or a sequence of

things could work. I really like your idea.

Pranams,

Prasadini
