Did someone just get carried away by enthusiasm? (Also, Peter Max, who is a devotee and has contributed art to be auctioned or purchased, could probably fund a lot of this all on his own. ... Sorry, Peter, not meaning to single you out.) It sounds like a good idea, and yet perhaps I am a bit old fashioned. I have liked the grassroots approach, and even the use of the internet to get news and items for purchase to devotees (knowing that the money we pay for these items goes to Her charities). I still have a bit of a furrow between my eyebrows over all of this. Hoping for more clarification ~ Linda
Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, This Amrita TV thing is quite confusing. Besides the $1,000 contribution, which someone said to ignore, there is the cost of the dish and of subscribing to the satelite company and the extra fee for stations outside the package. As much as I love the idea of having spiritual programming on my TV, which I hardly ever watch because it is so boring and awful, the cost could be prohibitive even to the "average" person. My internet access and TV cable are linked in cost because they are provided by the same company, so my computer access fee will go up. Lots of things to consider. I have no satsang other than this list, and I am horrible about doing sadhana on my own, so Amrita TV would be a real boon to my spiritual life. Guess this child will have to wait for more information before acting. Jai Ma!
