I'm trying to stay out of fear. I hope that every day

I contribute to restoring the balance, as opposed to

doing nothing or manifesting more imbalance. I'm

trying to remember that I am those people, and the

survival, the death, the destruction, and that I am

Nature too, and that this is just what We and Nature

are doing right now. This is the experience we're

sharing. It's a story we're creating.

I might prefer the story or the experience where we

all feel safe and have our wants and needs met, and

nothing hurts. Regardless of what I prefer, or what

my judgements are, it's still all just experience.

Experience after experience will continue to occur,

and so it goes. When I can really be in this, the

fear subsides.

Dear Romi ~ I really appreciate what you have to say here. And what you have

put into prose could also be put into questions. What am I doing right now

to contribute to the balance? If I'm not contributing, what can I change in my

behavior so that I will be contributing?

I unfortunately started off this morning with a sadness and an argument with

my hubby. I now have a kind of programmed upset about all the time he spends

on computer games. I could go on about this, but the important thing is that

I was the one who upset the balance this morning, and though it was very

difficult, it wasn't restored until I apologized. As you say so eloquently,

regardless of what is happening, it is our experience, our story. We can accept,

we can rewrite, we can put judgement aside. Much of what you wrote here sounds

very much like Western metaphysical thought, which I don't hear much on the

digest. But whatever it is, or whatever sources it came from, thank you. Jai

Another way i consider this is, challenging experiences help us grow

and expand...Devi is polishing us.

OM NAMAH SIVAYA

good point Chris, this seems to be the only positive way i know to

view and handle difficulties in my life. also with all the tragedy

that is occurring, at times i feel very limited in the ways i can

contribute as Linda mentioned. but i know i can do as Amma advises

and repeat my mantra all the time, in all times, which i find

contributes greatly to my balance and i guess in turn the whole.

We can keep judgement with us, but at the end of the

day it's not only irrevelant, but it only serves to

keep us in separation from the Divine.

I want to be clear that what I'm saying for me is a

natural progression with what I've learned from Amma

(as oppposed to the new age "love and light and only

ever feel happy" dogma that kind of makes my skin

crawl!).

If we are One, then what can this be besides one

experience after another? Something "bad" isn't

happening to someone while something "good" is

happening to someone else. We're One creature, with

one unfolding experience. I just don't see *how*

there can be a judgement of good and bad within

Oneness. (I don't punish or fear my brain for telling

me to walk the path that leads to my stubbed toe. I

simply nurse the toe and get back to business.)

So, in my teensy tiny opinion, this judgement exists

only in Separation. That little thing that Amma tries

to knock out of us!

I'm not suggesting that one should simply Awaken to

avoid experiencing a fear of a big earthquake, because

geeze, if only we could! ;) But to remember that

Amma has blessed us with an awareness of what is on

the other side of our sleep, and to perhaps find

comfort in that. For me, just sitting in the

awareness that we are all just hands or arms or heads

or legs of the same Divine creature, that we are what

makes up the Divine creature, helps with the fear.

And I guess now I need to tackle my judgement of the

new agers. :)

With love,

Romi
