I stood there with my mouth dropping! Amma presented her with an apple. This apple exuded Amma's scent! Once we returned to St. Louis, my mom called me. She said the apple smelled like Amma! I asked what she did. She said she washed it and it still smelled like Amma! I asked what she did with the apple. She said "I ate it!" She said while eating it, the apple exploded with the smell of Amma in the room. Dear Adriane ~ what a lovely story, and I'm glad you included the part about the shoes/sandles. Clearly, it is the intent of the person seeing Amma, and not whether they are capable of walking without their shoes on. Some people have to wear special Orthopoedic shoes to walk, and they wouldn't be able to go without them eighter. And the story about the apple, I adore. In a way, it is an interesting back-take on the old Adam and Eve story where the apple was the source of temptation and evil. Here is it a source of Love, Healing, continued Darshan and Amma's Presence ~ how beautiful. Jai Ma ~ Linda Oh! Sorry ... couldn't help it ... this story inspired a little ditty, very quickly: Here it is. When Amma Gives You an Apple Chorus When is an apple more than an apple? When the apple comes from Amma. Then the apple is more than an apple, when the apple comes from Amma. 1. The apple is food, and it's prasad; its blessing will fill you and make you glad. It's worth can't be measured in dollars or cents; the apple is filled with Amma's Presence; Chorus When is an apple more than an apple? When the apple comes from Amma. Then the apple is more than an apple, when the apple comes from Amma. 2. And if you take the apple home, remember, whatever you do. You are bringing Amma along, and She will be will be with you. Chorus When is an apple more than an apple? When the apple comes from Amma. Then the apple is more than an apple, when the apple comes from Amma. 3. But please be sure to eat the apple, a reminder that Amma is within. And if you must save some of the apple, it's seeds may grow again. Chorus When is an apple more than an apple? When the apple comes from Amma. Then the apple is more than an apple, when the apple comes from Amma. (tee hee)
