Last November in San Ramon the doll maker had a whole room of Amma dolls she was repairing. Yours may take major surgery, but maybe She can be repaired. I am so sorry about your doll. I know She's not just any old doll. Mine has comforted me through some very hard times. Dear Prasadini ~ thank you for your sharing your own attempts to keep your Amma Doll safe from your puppies. I had always kept her on the top of the window ledge in the bedroom of our trailer. That way, whenever I was in bed, which sometimes seemed/seems like a lot, She would be looking at me. I also have one of the large photos taped to the "bathroom" wall for the same reason; I can see it from the bed, and I love the picture. I really appreciate your suggestion about San Ramon and the Amma doll repairer. I think, as you say, it would be major surgery, but if She could get a new arm and leg, I would be overjoyed.
