Had to laugh when I saw this "electric" kund that supposedly works

with their special samagri:

I guess it'd work as a mental homa offering or practice fire.

Speaking of which, does anyone here have a kiln at home they use for

crafts? I'd like to have a squarish bowl made for 'symbolic'

homas/mental worship, using just rice offerings. I figure the bowl

to be 6 or 9 inches, 3/4" or 1" thickness, 3-4 inches high (haven't

finalized a design). It'd be glazed in goldenrod yellow with a red

triangle and red dot on the bottom of the inside. It's something I

could use to practice the mantras and offerings before using an actual

fire. I could then cook and eat the rice as prasaadam.

I've seen this thing at one of the stores in Toronto's

Little India.. You can get almost anything in Little

India that you would find sold on the streets in

Connaught Circle (Delhi's shopping district). You

could have a real fire if you try to plug it into a

120 volt North American outlet without the proper

adapter. It runs on 220 volts.
