Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya, I just returned from the MA Center's birthday celebration for Amma, where I stayed just a short time. It was beautiful. Anyway, this week I dreamt that I asked Amma how many times a day I should be chanting archana. Her answer was 2x. Upon awakening, that seemd like an unrealistically high amount for me. And, I figured it was probably just a dream. So, you can imagine my surprise during Dayamrita Swami's satsang, when he specifically mentioned chanting 2,000 mantras (names?. Maybe adding 1,000 for the suffering in our world, or just an extra mantra. The talk about prayer was really good ... about Amma's mandate for us to increase it, & how fortunate we are to have Her resolve. Kind of as if we can be Amma's vehicles when we pray. Divine Grace must have reduced Hurricane Rita from a category 5 to 3. Maybe archana 2x a day is realistic, after all? Sweta

What is your sense of Br. Dayamrita's suggesting our adding an extra mantra? Should it be targetted toward world suffering? Is the Lokaha mantra o.k.? Namah Shivaya, GeorgeSon P.S. Guest guest
Of course just chanting Lokah Samastha Suhkino Bhavantu is okay. Whatever you do is good and okay. As I always tell my exercise clients, something is always better than nothing. - leokomor Ammachi Tuesday, September 27, 2005 10:56 AM Re: Amma Dream & Sw. talk Dear Sweta: Sweta wrote: "Maybe adding 1,000 for the suffering in our world, or just an extra mantra."
