Dear Mahamuni ~ thank you for this very concise and precise response to my

question. There is still so much I don't know. Arun Raj has been asking me to

send the song, "Amma's Birthday" on tape, and I kept putting it off ...

because my illness has affected my voice and, as much as I love to sing, I

avoid it

now because my voice sounds so different, and also, I had only a very old

cassette tape recorder to record the song on ... no fancy recording studio for

me. LOL But when I found out Amma's birthday was the 27th, I kicked into high

gear today, got the song recorded (and the one about "The Amma Train," which

I hoped would give Her a giggle), went off and got bubble wrap and envelopes

and such and sent it off today. I thought, "I don't care if I sound like a

crow. Mother will understand my intention."

The poor man at the post office was so apologetic when I asked if I could

get it there by the 27th. He told me of another woman who paid quite a bit of

money to get a package to another country by a certain date, and then it didn't

get there, and she came back and yelled at him. Apparently, the package got

held up by customs, and, of course, in this day and age that is entirely

understandable. I promised him I would not come back and yell at him, and we

grinned at each other. So my little tape is off wandering its way to India, and

because I had to send it to the Trust and not to Arun directly (he has been

mobilized by Swami Dayamrita for the hurricane relief efforts), it may not get

to Amma at all. But She will know, either way, and I am joyful. Jai Jai Ma ~
