You know? I never sat again. I never did another asana(yoga posture). All that stuff fell away because I was seeing Love...He allowed me to be who I was in relation to him, and he just kept playing with me...Something that was causing me to self-destruct was allowed to start to blossom, only to be uprooted by his Grace....By surrender we get ourselves, we don't lose ourselves. By surrender we find strength-strength to be in the moment; strength to face the things that need to be faced; strength to trust our own hearts. It's the path from the outside into the inside. We must learn to trust our hearts, and the way we learn that is by betraying ourselves over and over and over, by settling for less. Finally we reach a place where we can't do that any more, no matter what. That's when we learn to trust own our own hearts, to trust ourselves. There's no path outside of us. We are the path; our lives are the path. Being open doesn't mean to be vulnerable. When you're open, nothing can hurt you....Did I find Maharaj-ji or did Maharaj-ji find me?" Dear Iswari ~ all this that you wrote of Krisna Das writing about his Guru, Neem Karoli Baba, is incredibly beautiful. In fact, it is almost as if Baba is doing the speaking, which I imagine, Krishna Das would say he is. Every day, when I take my nap, I fall asleep listening to the Love of Baba come through that voice. I copied the whole thing to print out so I can read it again. Was this part of something larger like a book, or was it on Krishna Das' website? If there is more, I'd love to read it. Also ... :::feeling quite humbled::: I really really really needed to read this right now ... all of it, but especially the part about Love, the part about falling apart to discover yourself, and the part about surrender. One thing I'm pretty sure of is that where there is anger, there can neither be love nor surrender. In a way, I feel like Krishna Das' described ~ reduced to rubble. In another way, I feel a sense of newness, as like a little sprout pushing through the dirt. Jai Ma , Jai Baba ~ Linda
