Guest guest
Premarupa posted a quote by Amma: "Do not walk around complaining that certain people got angry with you and that they criticized and scolded you. Let them give a lecture criticizing and teasing you. You just keep quiet. All the things that they have said about you will revert back to them. When you react or retaliate, that means you have accepted it, and then they will fabricate even more things about you and you will also do the same about them. There is no way to settle that kind of argument , and the end result is utter humiliation, anger, hatred, revenge, and the like... And, dearest Premarupa, as I was told once about jumping in and getting started in a new job, "She knows of which she speaks." I am now reading volume 2 of "On the Road to Freedom" by Swami Paramatmananda, and last night read a chapter of the "early days" when there were numerous, very serious attempts to kill Amma. She is our best example, for She did not react, and some of the very perpetrators became ardent devotees. I was shocked to read these stories, for they were stories I had never heard. In fact, much of what Swami P has to say about the early days are things I have never heard. I feel as if I am in a blissfull garden, with ripe fruit falling off the tree into my hand. All I need do is imbibe. Jai Ma ~ Linda
