Dear Ones,

Br. Dayamrita is currently visiting sites in the South and Southeast

where those displaced by Hurricane Katrina are being housed. He said

that their immediate physical needs are being met. Their emotional

and spiritual needs are not being addressed. Also they need help

applying for aid to the network of agencies involved in helping them.

On the conference call, it was suggested that letters might lift

people's spirits or at least let them know that someone cares.

Letters from children to children was suggested.

Circcle of Love Letters sends loving, supportive, encouraging letters

to members of our community. Recipients are never required to reply

and in this case will not be able to, most likely. I committed Circle

of Love Letters to do this letter writing so that MA Center organizers

could be on the lookout for recipients.

Now I need letter writers. If you would like to write loving

supportive letters to a person who has been displaced by the

hurricane, please reply privately to aikya with Katrina

Letter Writer in the subject. Please give your full name with

spiritual name if you have one, the city and state where you live and

your email address. I will send you the Circle of Love Letters

writing guidelines and, as soon as I have a name and address of

osmeone to whom you can write I will send it to you.

If you are a parent of a child age 6 to 17 who is able and willing to

write to another child affected by hurricane Katrina, please reply to

aikya with Youth-to-Youth Letter Writer. Please send me your

name and say you give permission for your child. Tell me your child's

name and age. Let me know what city and state you live in.

These folks are not Amma devotees and our job is not to turn them into

Amma devotes. They are Amma's children, as dear to her as any of us

who have felt her hug. Let me hear from you lurking letter writers

out the
