Dear brothers and sisters ~ I don't want to create any more discord, but it

seems to me that the statement of Shree Maa is very much like the biblical

statement about not criticizing the speck in another's eye, when there is a mote

in one's own.

Also, though I searched through my limited library, I was unable to find a

similar statement by Amma, but I am sure I have read it somewhere. In "Awaken

Children, Part 1,"

Amma says:

"Every day before going to bed, recollect the day's activities and try to

discriminate between the good and bad. Repent of any bad thoughts and actions.

Make a strong determination to abstain from those kinds of thoughts and

actions in the future."

This sounds to me very similar. Amma is asking us to search our hearts for

mistakes and to repent. I don't find anything in either Shee Maa's statement

or Amma's about needing to place blame on one's self or needing to feel

guilty.

Namah Shivaya Linda

A shrink once told me that guilt is a wasted emotion. I just happen to be

the mother of guilt. Guilt and worry, guilt and worry.

I think the person in charge of fixing brains needs to give this one an

overhaul.

I guess some of us are harder nuts to crack - pardon the pun!
