Amma's Nature

"...there is one thing which is natural to me. The nature to love.

Love constantly flows from me to all creation." - Ammachi, Awaken

Children, Vol. 1 p60 (0774)

Namaste, Georgeson and All,

This quote is so wonderful.

i was considering how to make a brief reply to George's thought that

egolessness might be less than comfortable, but from what I felt while in the

hospital - and in Amma's arms - was that when our personal ego disappears, the

experience of love, peace, and sanctity grows exponentially. Mother's love and

grace seem to take the small ego's place and nothing matters- not who you were,

what you did/didn't do, etc.

I can best describe the sensation as a billion times magnification of a primal

forest after a major snowfall- everything glittering and deeply, deeply quiet -

yet, if you've ever been near a forest after a great snow, you know that the

silence also contains the possibility of all sound within its depths: bird

song, wolf call, wind song. Amma's presence felt like that - deep, silent, and

yet rich with every possibility.

And yes, I was clearly under the impression that anything I experienced could

be shared here; I just wish my words could convey the experiences better - and

that I could banish my ego permanently. The gifts given are so much greater

than the things held.

Still enraptured and healing slowly,

At Mother's feet,

Snehalata
