Just because you have been used to the milk-and-water "Ammachi is so wonderful" stuff doesn't make you decide what should be posted. Heck, start your own stupid Ammachi group if you want, moderate it any way you want, and exclude whomever. This is not just your group. So get over it." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear Chris, vallantkumar and All ~ wow! I must have missed this one. I guess I would consider this a "flame" because of the language, yet our moderator wisely let the post enter the digest. A satsang is a group of people who gather for the purpose of devotion, seva, worship, support ... hopefully a group of likeminded people and generally gathered around a particular guru or holy person. We gather for the purpose of devotion. We have seva (the prayer list, and the Circle of Love), we worship (mostly in solo because we have not figured out a way yet to get together online where we can actually "talk" in real time. And we are gathered around a great mahatma, Mata Amritanandamayi, or Ammachi, as She is lovingly known. My hope would be that people could express diverse views, have discussion, etc., without flaming or using inflammatory language, but even so, this is a test of our own equanimity. And actually, it is "our" group ... all the members who belong to the digest, including you, vallantkumar. Jai Ma, Linda "Love and beauty are within you. Try to express them through your actions and you will definitely touch the very source of bliss." ~ Amma
Guest guest
I meant this to go to Chris in a private email but ended up posting it to the whole group instead :-( Hence the flame-like words. Let me offer the usual excuse -- "I guess Amma wanted me to say this to the whole group :-) ". Nobody has actually claimed being offended by my words, but I apologize if any bystander was. Guest guest
I loved it too, Nandu. Because it seems odd [for Chris] to harp on about "boundaries" and a dharmic discourse while pushing for repression and calling peoples' political rants "sewage." I have been far more offended -- as Surya put it, by such "heavy" and "negative" complaints, then by the outrage of other list members such as yourself. Thank you for articulating pretty much right on the button of what I was feeling, and for saying it loud, proud, and clear. regards, Prashanti
