As Amma has said, this is not her path... Dear ckenily ~ I humbly say that what I have noticed is that whatever "political" discourse is happening here, is also happening within the context of what would be dharmic. Of course, being only human, we are not entirely capable of determining this, but we do the best we can in the course of our dialog. People are upset and angry, and mistakes in response have been, and are still being made. That being said, even though politics may not be Amma's path, She still has had to deal with politics. In the case of the tsumami, Amma's generosity in offering to rebuild all of the homes destroyed was postponed and then ultimately reduced in number by the political party in Kerala. So even though we are spiritual seekers, sadhuks, etc., politics is a reality of life almost everywhere. I think our best course is to follow Amma's example in this case, and just persist until assistance is permitted by the powers that be.
