She might even gladly invite the killer to do his job. ....MORAL OF THE STORY - Mahatmas dont give a damn if their life is going to end or not; so it is upto us sisyas to do prevent that. Dear yogaman ~ very well put, and your story was a good example. Did not Ghandi welcome his own murder, saying the name, Ram, as he died? I see nothing amiss with praying for Amma's wellbeing, and I will put Her name on the prayer list. In some way, at the same time, we include Amma in our prayers, we are also including our very own Selves. Thank you for this. Guest guest
True, but is there any real reason to insult people by using strong language like "pseudo rationalists"? This is uncalled for between devotees. I don't know about everyone else, but this room is becoming quite distasteful to me and filled with vibrations that I would rather not have in my life. Maybe I am the only one that feels this way... Guest guest
Hi Surya, I dont check mail these days because of work related matters. I just happened to read your mail now. I was not referring to Avram at all, I think Avram is a good guy and we need people like him on this board. One person I know bolted out of this group because this person felt that it consisted of fawning, brainwashed people and seemed kind of cultish (this is not true at all, all the people on this board are wonderful; this person was clearly misinformed). People like Avram are there to correct such wrong impressions and that you can disagree with Amma at the same time being a devotee. Just my 2c. And WHAT !!!!??!!- you got affected just because i used the term pseudo-rationalists (I was referring to those rationalists in Amma's village in india, not anyone here). Cmon man, you are supposed to be a toughie. You'r the guy who's gonna protect Amma from would be terrorists, attackers and what not; and you are shaking in your boots just because i used this very innocuous term ?? LOL (Ok i am just kidding, dont get mad at me :-)). Guest guest
Namaste Lindaji, Thank you for adding Amma to the list. We want to keep Amma at the top of the list :-). Guest guest
Yogaman, Who said I became offended personally at that term? I was speaking for all devotees who might be here, since others said there might be over 700. Also I have not been following the Avram saga. I have no idea what happened. I've been quite busy with guests coming in and out here over the last week on top of the normal craziness of the Devis of this Devi Mandir By the Sea. I had about 400 emails to go thru today. Personally, his posts are not my taste, but that means nothing as that is just my taste. He is where he is at with Amma and that is fine for him. I can't concern myself with what others think as I have no control over it whatsoever. Anyway, I was just stating a point. I joined this forum because of my love for Amma. I'm not interested in getting into arguments with people or anything really heavy, unless it just can't be helped. I have the same attitude around Amma directly, though lately in the last few years it is getting more challenging to maintain this. But my sincere Love and Prostrations to all, Surya - childofdevi Ammachi Monday, September 05, 2005 8:43 PM Re: To yogaman on praying for Amma Hi Surya, I dont check mail these days because of work related matters.
