Guest guest
namaste ~ some points to consider ~ Amma's charities in India multiply ten-fold because all work is done by non-paid brahmacharies and voluntiers. For example, all building materials are made from scratch. So if you donate $1 it becomes like $10 to the recipients. Here in the USA, the situation is different. So, perhaps we should consider the following : 1) Urgency ~ some charities are set up to act now ~ like the Feed the Children suggested by my friend Peter in a previous post. 2) They also match the donations. See if your workplace can match your donations? 3) Make sure the charity( if not MA Center ) is legit, efficient and can act now. 4) If you are familiar with local charities, they may be the best if they can do the work. If not sure, donate to MA Center would be my suggestion. Perhaps, others can add to this.
