Guest guest
OM NAMAH SIVAYA i agree with you and feel somewhat helpless about it as well. i feel the only thing i can really do is pray and give a donation hoping that it is used properly. and your point about the gov't is well taken. it makes no sense. i read today that the total economic impact will be in excess of $100 billion dollars. with a B. and how to pay for it? we could stop killing people in the war for 2-3 months. that would about cover it. but i also feel that things like this have a positive side as well. i am not criticizing anyone and don't mean to offend anyone, but i mean look how fast the discussions in this group went from whether or not Amma danced in Boston and what color sari she had on to what is really going on in society. every year something like 60 milliion people die from starvation. i never hear about it or feel any sense of urgency about it really but it is happening day in day out. so maybe this is a wake up call about where and how our countries resources are being used and what can be done about it. i don't have any answers and i certainly have much i need to improve on in myself. and like George said maybe that is the most efficient place for me to start. afterall i think life is like a boom-a-rang, you get back what you put out there. building my harmony thru prayer, sadhana, etc. will maybe help combat the disharmony of the world.
