Guest guest
I cry and pray everyday for these precious people and their challenges!!! May Amma send hugs, kisses and loving relief to her homeless children, May all the churches rise up and begin to walk in the sandles of Christ and have compassion and help his children. May each religious/spiritual organization take in at least one family and help them heal and begin to have a life, home, clothes, food, work, schooling (whatever is needed) while their old life is being restored in some way. May God Bless everyone in this disaster and quit blaming and critizing others. When I was a corporate executive we had this old saying: Those who don't do...critize others Those who do....don't critize. Guest guest
Aum Amriteswaryai Namah! i'm sure many of you must have started doing something or the other for those affected by H.Katrina. this is what i've been doing for past few days. i'm not sure if it yeilding any benefits, but i'm still trying. immediately after the news of floods started coming in i started reading the "NOLA VIEW" weblog thats coming straight out of New Orleans. The hurricane stories coming from the weblog are heart wrenching. the address is: http://www.nola.com/weblogs/nola/ i've also added the weblog to my RSS feed reader. RSS feed of NOLA VIEW Weblog: http://rss.nola.com/nola_nolaview/index.rss from reading these weblogs, i have collected a few mail ids of ppl in a position to help nearby or within the area. as soon as a new post comes in, i route it to others (who i guess are) nearby, with cc to FEMA & US Coast Guard. this is the little i can do sitting here. i'm hearing from New Orleans Police weblog (http://rss.nola.com/nola_policelog/index.rss) from my RSS reader, that the coast guard is recuing a lot of ppl stranded. still a lot many ppl are trapped/stranded waiting for rescuers. May Amma rescue them all!! Lokah Samasthah Sukhino Bhavanthu.... - nierika Ammachi Friday, September 02, 2005 9:24 AM Re: To Prasadini on how we can help Prasadini wrote: Is there any way we can, in a practical way (not that prayer is not practical) help the Katrina victims? Does it make sense to make a group collection or something? I was talking to a woman in the vets office today and she said that a co-worker and her husband were giving up things (she her Starbucks coffee, he his football something) to give money to the Red Cross. I was quite touched by that gesture.Any ideas?
