Guest guest
Two messages from Swami Dayamrita, the leader of Amma¹s organization in the U.S. The first message is the newest: Aum Amriteswaryai Namah, Amma called me today and the first thing she asked was about the Katrina situation in the U.S. Luckily I was well informed about the situation thanks to all of your emails. ( I did not have the time to watch the news.) After listening to my narration, Amma was silent for a long time. In fact I thought she had disconnected the phone. I kept calling "Amma, Amma and Amma" and finally she started speaking very softly. From her voice that was choked with emotion, I could make out that she was crying. Afterwards Amma told me she was busy with the Tsunami and the recent incidents at the ashram. Hence she did not get time to follow the incidents that occurred here on the news. She came to know of this tragedy only after some amongst the American devotees had briefed her. She said only after talking to me could she understand the enormity of this disaster. Immediately Amma asked me to go down there and help the affected people as much as we can. Hence I am going to Hot Springs to assess the situation. I will keep all of you informed. Meanwhile, according to Amma's advice we are starting to collect funds to help the victims of the Katrina Hurricane disaster at the M.A.Center. I will send reports to you. We will need a lot of help in the days to come. I am receiving a lot of emails from the devotees. I apologize for not replying to you individually. Thank you all. Namah Sivaya, Dayamrita ---------- Aum Amriteswaryai Namah The aftermaths of the hurricane Katrina is unimaginable. I realized this yesterday only while watching the anguish of the millions who have been affected by this storm on the TV. (Sorry I did not read the news) Though this is not of the enormity of the December 2004 South Asian Tsunami, we can call this as the mini Tsunami of the US. At the same time realized Amma¹s words about the dark clouds in 2005. The board of the M.A. Center will soon take a decision about the best way to help the victims of this disaster. There are some devotees already working in the Southern states to help the victims. We will soon inform you the details as to how each one of you will be able to help, if you feel so. Meanwhile I personally request all of you to hold prayers and or Archanas for the victims of this disaster in your respective Satsang. At the M.A. Center, we are having two special Archanas (1000 names) on Saturday and one on Sunday. The first one is at 6:30am and the second one on Saturday will be at 5pm. The one on Sunday will be at 6:30am. We request everyone to participate in these prayers. Thank you all, Namah Sivaya, Dayamrita Dayamrita Chaitanya M.A.Center P.O.Box 613 San Ramon, CA 94583 Phone 510 537 9417 X 108 Fax 510 889 8585 Web Site: www.amma.org ------- Namah Shivaya, Amma Fairfield Satsang 641-472-8563 http://amma-fairfield.org http://www.ammaiowa.org/ info To or , send a blank email to the following: Subscribe: list- Un: list-
