Dear GeorgeSon ~ I would never have any problem with anyone defending Amma, though I don't believe what She says or does needs any defense. However, being human, we are inclined to get into discussions that stray into the realm of value or truth, and I'm with you. I don't believe we have the eyes to see, nor the ears to hear to evaluate what Amma says against what may or may not happen. How many disasters would it then take for the "dark clouds" prediction to seem true to people. For some (and please, Avram, I am not referring to you here at all), there would never be enough. For others one would be proof. But even after the tsunami, once 2005 had started, there is the killing that goes on and on due to war, there is the starvation of countless people unnecessarily in Nigeria, there were those killed or affected by the flooding in Mumbai, and now this new disaster of immense proportions. Yes, there are "bad" things that happen each year, but to this degree, in this number? Many ancient peoples, including some whose relatives still remain on Earth, such as the Mayan people and the Hopi, and prophets have predicted that there would be a time when many disasters would befall the Earth and Her people. Yet, within their predictions, there is also the gem of hope, for, all their records say, if we can change, the outcome will be different, there will be peace for Bhu Devi and Her people. So the Hopis dance and dance and dance ... to maintain the balance. And we, hopefully, pray and pray and pray. And if only one person changes one thing, that could be the linchpin that turns the balance. Ho ~ Linda P.S. Many years ago I wrote a song about this seeming duality of life. I don't recall all the words anymore, but I remember a bit, so I will share what I remember. A little bit of sunshine, a little bit of rain, keeps this old world moving 'round again. A little bit of sunshine, a little bit of rain, makes the flowers bloom in the spring. Just like there's up, you know, there's gotta be down. And you can't know Silence without knowing sound. For everything you know, something's on the other side. And we're all a part of the ride.
