Some sections are at twenty feet now because some levees broke. New Orleans (I know I am sounding geeky) is the worst case scenario because it was built below sea level. Another advantage of Katrina deviating at the last moment is that winds were clocked Monday at 100 mph instead of potentially 150 plus mph. Dear GeorgSon ~ oh, when I woke up this morning, and they were showing pictures of all the places that were hit, either by the winds or by the water flooding on its own or because of the levee breaking, I thought my heart would break. Where is the Amma here Who can come and with all Her Divine efficiency, gather people to Her Heart, house them, feed them? I think this is too big even for the Red Cross, and with all our National Guard somewhere else, who will help these people? I know that help is arriving, but it seems so little in comparison to what is needed. Entire communities simply torn away, no electricity, the flooding water mixing with the sewage, the docks down, the gaming industry destroyed, and no one even has any idea at this point how many lives this tragedy took. I heard that some people that were in the Superdome (in the Superdome!) were being taken to Huston to be housed in their old collosium. I want to rush there and help, but I am too sick. All I can do is pray ... and write my elected officials. Why are they not rushing, rushing with no holds barred to do something? ... and pray some more. Then you will know that Amma has never forgotten you, that you have always existed in Her and always will." ~ Amma
